Ski Ballet Champion Peter Lindecke and Sarner Ski - Together again after more than 40 years

It was impressive how he took off like a figure skater, showed two and a half spins while his blond hair curls shined in the winter sun. Ski-Ballet Champion Peter Lindecke achieved just about everything that can be achieved with his vice world championship title and several European championships. He was the star among the ski artists - the German weekly magazine Zeit described his moves as filigree like a ballerina and he smiled from the cover of the Italian magazine L'Uomo Vogue.

Peter celebrated his greatest successes on Sarner Ski. He was a figurehead of the South Tyrolean ski brand from the very beginning and even received a ski made especially for him. This big was the enthusiasm at Sarner Ski for Peter. The collaboration paid off: Peter drove from competition to competition in his converted camper with a large Sarner Ski sticker and raced from success to success on Sarner Ski.

After his career in competitive sports, Peter organized several freestyle camps in Val Senales (South Tyrol) together with his friend and ski pioneer Leo Gurschler and dedicated himself to his modelling career. Peter became the face of Bogner campaigns in the late 70s and early 80s. Later, Peter moved behind the lens as a photographer and was responsible for the SportScheck catalogue, among other things, for many years.

However, Peter has not given up skiing: Today, Peter spends his winters in the American Rocky Mountains in Beaver Creek/Colorado. There he gives ski training and courses together with his friend Fredrik "Sweed" Gustafsson. However, every spring at the end of the season, Peter gets on a plane and enjoys the summer at home in Bavaria with his family.

Also Fredrik's career is quite impressive: Fredrik came to competitive sports through an Ingemar Stenmark scholarship. After winning several titles in Sweden (including runner-up in Telemark and winner of the Ski Instructor Championships), Fredrik led the Swedish and Beaver Creek Demo Teams to several gold medals. Fredrik has already won 4 golds, 2 silvers and a bronze in synchronized skiing.

Peter and Fredrik have been enjoying the slopes with Sarner Ski in the mountains of Colorado since mid-March 2021 and provide us with advice on how we can improve the skis even more and with photos that make skiing really enjoyable. More about this on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
